As we wrap this very difficult week up I want to express to all of you how much your support has meant to our family. Your interest, your love, your texts, all of it have buoyed us and my Mother through a very difficult two years and we owe you a significant debt of gratitude.
Thank you to everyone that was able to come and pay their respect to our mother. It was WONDERFUL to catch up with so many long lost friends, current friends, and even new friends. Our sorrow was mitigated by your presence and we are eternally grateful.
I know many could not make it back to attend and we completely understand that. Despite us asking Mom to hold off until after UEA :) she decided on her own she had had enough. It was a beautiful viewing and funeral. McCall, Debra, Heather, and Stephanie worked tirelessly to set up and prepare the tables to showcase Mom. Aunt Dagny flew in from Dallas to offer Dad a shoulder and help where he needed it. And two of our favs, Mary and Emily took care of our flowers. The Grandkids stepped up and did all the tasks they were asked without complaint. Together it equalled a very successful tribute to our mother and I know she was so proud and grateful to all of you.
A huge thank you to the Holladay 28th Relief Society and Bishop England. The food was amazing and absolutely hit the spot. Thank you for sacrificing your Saturday to take care of us.
Some have asked if the funeral was recorded. It was. We are waiting for the disk and will have more info on that as it becomes available.
As we move forward, recognizing time may slightly heal, we will never forget the legacy of our amazing mother. I hope we can stay in touch and not have to meet under these not-so-fun circumstances. So much love to all of you!!
