PURPLE HAZE

Last two weeks have been a little...hazy. Mom has been telling more fanciful stories, not making a lot of sense, and insisting that I have done things that I haven't :) Could still be the dehydration factor or something else. The Doctors have re-evaluated her meds and we will see if that makes a difference.

Mom's walking and exercise has be miraculous. She is now capable of getting herself out of her chair (which she can use a control to lift her up), grab her walker, exercise by walking out in to the kitchen and back to her chair, ending her walk by sitting down herself. Unbelievable. Don't ever underestimate what attitude and stubbornness can do!

The other huge motivator for mom has been getting to know her newest little (really...little) granddaughter. Pics included below. This little stinker is named Marigold Joy Nelson 5lb 9oz 18". She is absolutely perfect! McCall is doing well and is already crushing her very busy daily schedule. What an incredible blessing it was to have both mom and babe so healthy and safe!

And low and behold - Aunt Dagny came to stay for the week again! Her help with McCall and Mom has been invaluable. She is amazing and we are so lucky to have here here! Day 1 of her arrival she made a full (FULL) Thanksgiving meal for the entire family! I know, It's not Thanksgiving. That's how she rolls. Master Mother, Expert Assistant, Master Chef! We are already looking forward to her return! We love you Dagny!

To cap this post off we wrapped up this week as a family carving pumpkins. Mom loves seeing the kids (briefly :) ) and they had a blast making the cuts with Jon's tools. Thanks to Super Mo for setting it all up!
