SMALL PROGRESS IS STILL PROGRESS

Crazy week of very high highs and very low lows. But as I said above, it's still progress. To start off, something finally lit a small fire in Mom. Not sure what...not sure who...don't care. She actually stood on her own for about 10 seconds more than once! I could not believe it. She was also able to get in the car and join the family at Snowbird for Dad's 75th B Day! It was amazing and the family was so glad to have her up there. Most of all she wants to be independent, but a close second is just to be able to be with her family doing things.

As McCall gets ever so close to having her baby we are more and more grateful to the assistants at December Rose. Karsen is amazing and so helpful to Dad. Andrew has joined us as well. He's a husky kid who can lift Mom on his own and he is very directive with us (and Mom) and he gets the job done! He was able to get Mom up in to her sit-to-stand device a few times and pull her around the house. This helps Mom get strength back in her legs and helps build her confidence. It also gets her out of that infernal bed.

Other good news is that Mom's infections appear to be under control. Fever is rare now and she feels much better. No more hallucinations and thinking she has done things she hasn't. We are by no means out of the wood and have a long road to help her, but it's something.

This weeks shout out goes to the Knowlton grandkids. What an amazing group of ours that all participate, help, entertain, whatever. They have all been so great and have been working so hard where they have been needed. It's times like these you actually feel like you did something right :)

For those reaching out to visit - THANK YOU! Mom is so grateful. If you want to swing by just let me know. And keep the texts coming!
