TOUGH TIMES

Bad news first - it's been a rough few days. Mom's blood pressure has sky rocketed and created a host of new/old problems. Hallucinations are almost every night, she's confused a lot of the time, and staying in bed doesn't help. Her ankle is still very painful from her fall. The Dr's said it would have been better to have broken it - 6 weeks of recovery as opposed to 4 months :( There really isn't much more to say as we have been here before. It's just a matter of getting her out of bed and managing her emotions. We are lucky to have so many great friends (you) that continue to reach out to her and keep her motivated sharing how much you love her. I PROMISE - it's what keeps her going!

The good news is that Mom is stubborn enough to insist on getting out of the house to attend Edie's baptism and Marigold's blessing (McCalls daughters). It was a COVID kind of gathering where McCall and Jon's little family were there with the bishop, Jon's Mom and Dad, and our Mom and Dad. The rest of us Zoom'd in to view from all over the world. It was an excellent baptism where Mom insisted on saying the prayer. This is a HUGE deal since one of the medications she is on makes her slur her speech. She has been self conscious about it for years and this was a confidence builder!

In other good news - Dad gets his vaccine in the next couple of weeks! We are hoping to get Mom on the list, but apparently she isn't old enough :)

Stay healthy everyone! We are so grateful for you!
