VACCINATED!

Hallelujah! Mom and Dad have been vaccinated! Dad gets his second shot this week and Mom had her first last week. This has been a huge milestone for Mom as we believe the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight. I hope and pray it's only a matter of time we can begin to allow all visitors and Mom can get out and see people. What an amazing thing to see in our lifetime!

As you know, Mom has fallen a couple more times in the last few months. The last time she fell she ended up breaking her ankle :( She now has a boot on and quite frankly, she's is miserable. The break was a clean one (whatever that means) and there was no displacement of bones. We are yet again at the back and forth of independence and having to stay put in bed or a chair - this has not been fun for her. Now, more than ever, if you have a second, just shoot her a quick text. She may not respond right away as the meds she's on sometimes take her out for a bit. If you need her number, just reply to this email and I'll get it to you.

Other than the vaccine, the other big milestone was she was able to make it to Church for once! She has missed seeing everyone and socializing! She has such great Ward members and ministers!

Lastly, we want everyone to plan on a text, email, call, visit, whatever on May 18th of this year. Mom TURNS 70 and we are in the process of planning something special for her. Put it on your calendars! We will plan a big party for her later in the year after this garbage pandemic is over (I'm betting it will be - good juju only :) )
