VEGAS BABY

Decent couple of weeks. Not a ton of changes, other than to say we are moving in the right direction again. Her emotions are getting in check and she has been able to get out and about with Dad for some drives and errands. Carson (December Rose) comes in twice a week to help around the house and she is extremely helpful! With her help Mom can stop worrying about having a clean house, dishes done, etc and Dad can focus on work with some big projects he has.

Hospice has returned as well and Mom's favorite nurse, Nickson, has been taking great care of her. He was able to get her BP stable while relieving some of the pain in her ankle from the fall. Speaking of the fall...she fell again and hurt the opposite ankle. To say Mom is fragile would be a supreme understatement and her stubbornness has be a blessing and a curse :) She is doing well and the pain in mostly manageable.

With everyone losing their minds due to the current stay home, masks, blah blah blah, Mom determined she has had it and wanted out. So what did she want to do? Go shopping in Vegas :) Super Mo (McCall) loaded Mom and Dad up with her family and drove south. The quick trip turned out to be VERY much needed. Dad pushed mom for "miles and miles" in her wheelchair to site-see and shop. Honestly, I'm just grateful she was willing to be pushed in it. After some good food, a trip to the zoo, and something different to look at, Moms spirits were lifted! Getting Mom out of bed and out of the house was just the Rx she needed! McCall and Jon are superstars for taking Mom and Dad down!

A special thanks this week to Mom's long time friend, Becky Daniels, who has called and visited to lift Mom's spirits the past couple of weeks! She has been so grateful to Becky and all of you for your concern and care after her last spill!

The picture included is of my Man Giant, Josh. He is pulling Mom around her house in her high tech sit-to-stand chair. This chair allows for quicker and easier mobility around the house and makes getting in the car much easier.
